my garden
My early-August garden. I’ve been waiting for these blooms allllll summer, so they are bringing me a lot of joy.
Hollyhock: This is my first successful plant from seed. I had a bunch more of these seeds last year, but my lovely kitty Zelda got into the seeds and this is the only one that survived. The blooms are so delicate and beautiful! I love it.
These flowers are a mixed bunch of “cut” seeds, and I really have no idea what any of them are. But they are vivid colors, cute, and high. I have 2 pots of them and many more to experience as the mysterious stems start to bloom.
I have to say it. I can’t believe it’s already August. It’s hot, humid, but soon it will be cold, gray, and… not green. I am sad for that time. What will I do without being able to nurture my plants and enjoy my garden? Sigh… I’ll watch more tv.
I'd love it if you subscribed to my RSS feed.

I’m not sure what the orange flower is. Almost reminds me of poppies, but it isn’t quite big enough. I am not looking forward to winter either. I like the snow, but after a month I’m ready for it to be spring and summer again.
