fall times
Sunday was a very rare day. There are friends of mine who all went out and got spectacular photos that day. It’s now much more like traditional Erie fall. Cold, dark, wet, windy. The leaves are piling up. I do love fall (as everyone seems to) however… it’s getting closer and closer to the hours of raking leaves that Brian and I will be tackling. Oddly enough, we only have one tree that is on our property (and it’s only 1/2way) But we end up with about 10-20 bags of leaves every year. And they are all from the neighbors. They somehow end up in our driveway and blowing up to the corner!
Ok, enough whining about it….
Update on my grandma…. it’s not good right now. I mean, it is a waiting game. She had a biopsy on a growth… and she has fluid in her stomach… and a partial obstruction in her colon. She is extremely weak and tired and hasn’t een able to eat for 2 days. She’s in pain and so nauseous she can barely drink. She is hooked up to IVs. She is totally lucid and conversational and was happy to see us. She’s just in a really bad place right now. It’s amazing how life sort of goes on hold now… waiting for the biopsy results.
They are trying to rule out cancer.
Cancer.
That word…. I hate it.

I’m so sorry, Rach. I really, really hope they rule it out.
Those pictures are beautiful, especially the first one. The colors are amazing.

GREAT pictures Rachael! You have a really good eye, and good camera, but I’m partial;)
My prayers are with your grandma. I am very close to mine, so I know how special the bond is:) I hope and pray that they rule that “c” word out! It’s all in God’s hands.

What gorgeous pictures
I’m really sorry about your grandma, I really hope she gets better. Cancer is the one thing that scares me the most out of anything out there. I lost both my grandmothers over the last 2 years to that horrible “c” word and its very hard to watch. I really hope that that is not the case with your grandma.
xoxo

Wow– what a post: the photos were so beautiful and the stuff with your grandmother was so much in the opposite direction. Hope things go as well as they can, I’ll be thinking about you.

I hope they can rule it out too, and it’s good that she’s been able to visit with you guys.

Looks like a fun breakfast. They’re my favorite for “to catch-up” get togethers.
There is something about the photos of Michelle that remind me a little of Alanis Morrisette.
