Yesterday and the night before, I was able to spend a significant amount of time finishing up some CD art and web banners for an up-and-coming artist who commissioned me to do his design. It is so fun and satisfying… at this point, it may be my favorite type of work. I just love doing CD covers!!

I then got motivated to actually do my own business cards. Which in turn made me evaluate my logo. Then I hated it. So I spent about 3 hours redoing it. Not great for my billables, but good satisfaction wise. So I have about 15 business card designs and I’m trying to narrow it down, which my awesome friend Danielle helped me with. Once I have it all settled I’ll share it with you all. It’s very “organic” as Danielle mentioned, and right not I’m pretty happy with it. It’s very me… :)

Since I started this new part-time schedule, I’ve been loving the flexibility it has added to my life. A lot of times I can say “yes” to things I normally would be limited by… which is awesome. But the negative is that I’ve lost some of the boom. boom. boom. routines I had, including my fitness regimen which has been pretty non-existent right now. I have been tracking all my calories and food intake again on The Daily Plate, but working out has been taking a backseat. I feel like I can’t justify it when I am trying to get work done! Then instead I’ll blog or surf blogs for 30 minutes, or I’ll make our bed, or clean up the kitchen… when I probably could be working out. Ugh. However, you’d think my house would be cleaner now that I’m home more, but it’s really not the case. LOL.

That being said, I have some time right now as I am waiting to go pick something up so I can start some work, so I am going to go do a hard-core Turbo Jam work-out. I need it and I hope I can make it through. When I don’t do them regularly, my stamina drops way down and I get frustrated and exhausted a lot more easily. So – wish me luck!!!!
