turbo slim day 4
Yesterday’s update: I didn’t get a workout in. I was thoroughly exhausted from waking up at 5:00 am for an unknown reason (cats) (allergy attack) (hunger). I did clean the kitchen, basement, etc with Brian after dinner so that was good, but I got my hair cut tonight and there was just not enough time. I did well with my eating – went a little crazy at lunch with dairy and some chocolate syrup and I’ve eaten a lot of raspberries today. My dinner was actually totally improvised by myself. Lemon Pepper Turkey Kabobs: Chunks of turkey breast steak, bell peppers, zucchini, asparagus, pineapple all sprinkled with some salt and lemon pepper. It was AMAZING! I am definitely going to make them again, but with chicken or steak. My protein intake was through the roof today – 114 grams, 228% of my daily recommended intake. Calories were at 1,366 not too shabby! I did forget to take my multi vitamin so that was no good.
I think overall I’m feeling the lack of starchy carbs still. I know this is good for me as I was way too reliant on them (eating so much cereal it was ridiculous). I’ve been using saltines to get me through those patches where my tummy hurts, so that’s been cool.
Today’s menu:
Breakfast: Cottage Cheese & Raspberries (I had this yesterday, so I’m thinking today will be another omelet type thing or maybe Day 1′s breakfast – it was the bomb)
Snack: Pear and Low-Fat Cheese (Apple, no pear)
Lunch: Turkey and Avocado Sandwich or Wrap w/mustard & lettuce (I hate mustard)
Snack: Raspberry Protein Smoothie (Maybe just raspberries and yogurt)
Dinner: Halibut, Broccoli and Salad (uh, yeah – halibut? Not happening. Tonight I have praise band practice so it will more likely be a lean cuisine w/salad. I won’t be cooking.)
I'd love it if you subscribed to my RSS feed.

I don’t like mustard either. I know it’s the condiment you are suppose to replace mayonaise with, but I would rather have it plain.
Behrend’s food service makes a great smoked turkey wrap (I had it for lunch today) and it has some sort sweet, spicy condiment (I think it might be honey mustard) but it is so good. I will have to find out what it is and let you know because that would be a nice alternative.
P.S. The kabobs sound great!! Do you deliver? I’ll take two!
