the awesome sunday
This Sunday was such a fun time with family and friends. It was a great one-of-the-last-days-of-the-summer (SERIOUSLY???) It was my mom’s birthday and my sister and I were baking fools – she with her famous cupcakes and me with a betty crocker boxed from scratch marble cake. We had a great time together. My mom is awesome – I hope it was a good day for her! She’s ________ years old!
Then my friend Faith and I decided it was finally time to hit up the Ravine Flyer II – Waldameer’s pride and joy, new this year. Neither of us had gotten a chance to go, and couldn’t find anyone else who was interested. When she called I was so psyched. We only waited in line about 30 minutes, and it was very worth it. I felt like I was going to puke. Even though I’ve discovered I really like roller coasters a ton after our Kings Dominion adventure on vacation, I still get really sick-nervous-anticipate-y-excited while waiting. It was definitely a great coaster. Smooth for a wooden one, FAST, crazy, huge drop, awesome view – although I wish you could see it for longer, the second I saw it was spectacular and scary at the same time!
Then I came home and Danielle was over working with Brian on some stuff, and we ended up getting take-out from the Outback! It was very yummy and convenient. Then watched the movie 21. I really really liked it. It was intense and the guy they chose for the main character was an amazing casting choice, so likeable, believable.
Anyway – thanks Faith, friends and fam for that fun day!

Yayy for birthday mum!
I haven’t been on the new coaster yet
I hope I miake it before they close…
Ohhh I want to see 21….I just recently finished listening to the book…but it looks like they changed a lot of things (the main character is Asian and doesn’t really have any love interests)

My mom and sister just went on the Ravine Flyer last week. My mom said she closed her eyes at the beginning and didn’t open them again until the end!!
