Brian bought me roses last week just because. They are deep pink and perfect. The first day I got them I put them in the snow for a picture because it was so sweet and simple.

Last night I thought to myself, I really want my roses upstairs as I read before bed. And they’ve stayed there in a gorgeous vase my mother-in-law got me for Christmas that goes with our Lenox, Opal Innocence China collection. I think every woman should always be treated to fresh flowers on her bedside table. There’s something about it that makes me feel like that morning is special, or I’m in a guest bedroom. I guess that’s why in magazines there’s always fresh flowers in the rooms :-)
