aaron & jess
I’ve known Aaron since we were young kids, and I was so excited to be able to shoot their fun and funky wedding! They were my first couple to do a “first look,” or pictures before the ceremony. It was amazing – the light was perfect and we got all the bridal shots and bridal party shots all finished and done before everything even got started. If I could say one thing to my couples, it would be plan your pictures so that you can do formal/fun stuff outdoors between 6:15 and 7:30 pm. The light is just unbelievable and you won’t regret it.
That being said, here are a sampling of their awesome images. I am so excited about them
I also had my sister second shooting/assisting me, and a few of these awesome images are hers! I’ll point them out below. If you want to see tons more images, you can visit this photoset.
Jess had a chronic, awesome smile. We had to remind her NOT to smile everytime she saw the camera
But in this instance, it was so cute and perfect!
I don’t often get to be with the guys while getting ready, and although I think I made Aaron a bit more nervous then he already was, I was so glad to get these shots
I got a bit excited about the red roses and ended up doing more selective coloring then I normally do. But clients seem to really love it!
Jess and Aaron see each other for the first time
Most of the outdoor images below are straight out of the camera save a bit of contrast bump. Love the golden hour!
I know I do this shot a lot – but COME ON – that bouquet!!! Can we say classically elegant? “it’s from Giant Eagle” – Jess to everyone
First time I’ve done individual portraits of the bridesmaids. We had so much fun – they called the purple bag a “love sac”
One of the reasons a second shooter is so cool – this is a moment I never would have gotten because I’m usually in the sanctuary at this point waiting for the processional to start. But Amy got out there and got this awesome and hilarious image of the girls! Good one, Ame!
Walking down with her dad. So beautiful!
My awesome hubby Brian and our amazing friend Jen sang at the wedding.
Gorgeous family pics – I am always an advocate of doing them outdoors and non-traditional!
Haha…
Some guests enjoying the wedding.
Good times on the dance floor.
Here’s a for-real-story. Jess went and handed Harilyn the toss bouquet, and… she is now engaged
It really works!

Okay, ditching the sidebar in favor of the full, wide post section was DEFINITELY the right decision. The size of these images makes them really stand out. Nice work, Rach.
