amy & brian’s atrium ceremony

August 25th, 2010 by Rachel

In the hoopla of being my sister’s matron of honor last week, I was a little behind getting a sneak peak up for Amy & Brian! I’m only halfway through editing the pictures, but I didn’t want to wait any longer to get some posted. Amy made her own gorgeous purple flowers, and loved sparkle & glitz (as do I) so her wedding was truly beautiful. Once Brian saw his bride he got much more smiley.

Helping mom get dressed.

I loved her jewelry!

Amy wore a unique silver dress. It suited her beautifully!

A few of the groomsmen chillaxing before the service

That bouquet… I just can’t say enough about it!

Amy & Brian were super goofy together, and it totally worked. I loved watching them interact as Amy attempted to get Brian to be serious :) These are the best moments though!

Can you tell I was obsessed with her flowers? they were seriously so awesome!

max, mason & maddie

August 23rd, 2010 by Rachel

I had the honor of photographing the beautiful Rupp children a few weeks ago. We went to the Riverside Inn for a gorgeous setting with limitless potential for kid portraits (or any portraits for that matter!) I love it there. Max just turned one so he was sort of the main highlight of the session, but we definitely wanted to focus on getting some of the older kids as well! Max takes some chasing to get the money shots but it was worth it, and Maddie loves to have her picture taken and is a natural poser. Mason takes a bit more coaxing but I think we got him :)

The kid’s father is Mike Rupp of the Pittsburgh Penguins, so Christie, their mom wanted to get some pictures of Max running around with the Penguins stick. So cute!

Also I had to bring my daughter Chloe along on this shoot, so we tried to get some pictures of all of them together. She wasn’t really in a smiling mood at this point. Although it seemed Max was quite taken with her :)

And yeah – FAIL on my child cooperating for the camera! To be fair she was as good as gold the whole time while Mike held her for me, and it was really hot. But this cracks me up!

Honor & Tom’s Wedding // Warren, PA Wedding Photographer

August 4th, 2010 by Rachel

This was my first time in Warren, PA and it truly was beautiful. I wish I could have spent more time with this couple taking pictures – we didn’t quite make it to the Allegheny River like planned, but we still got some amazing pictures at the Conewango Valley Country Club. Honor’s wedding had so many meaningful details. From her dress that was custom designed and had parts of her mothers dress sewn into it, and her veil which has been worn for generations by women in her family. Thanks for letting me be part of your day!

Also for some reason some of the pictures I couldn’t get to post – there are some gems here on flickr too if you want to see more. I’m also going to post on facebook.

Sarah & Ben

July 22nd, 2010 by Rachel

Sarah & Ben had a beautiful ceremony at St. Gregory Church, in North East, PA with a reception at the gorgeous Lakeview Country Club. We had such a great day together and got some beautiful shots. The reception was a blast and the cake was gorgeous. Everything worked together for this wedding and I was so honored to get to shoot it for them!

erin & kevin: parents-to-be

July 19th, 2010 by Rachel

This maternity shoot was so special to me for a few reasons. First, because Erin and I went to college together and studied the same major… art with a concentration in graphic design. Now she is a successful art teacher and I am a photographer… it’s fun that we stayed in our field but yet went in different directions!

It was also special because being so close to my own baby being born, it brought back so many memories of being pregnant with Chloe and the amazing anticipation and other emotions that run high in the last few weeks of a pregnancy. Aaaah… we were all in tears at one point. Well, actually just Erin & I I think :)

Here is a quick edit with a few of my favorites from the night! Wanted to get some up before Erin actually had the baby! Erin & Kevin were so cute together, and you can tell they are SOOO excited. They also don’t know if they are having a boy or a girl yet so I can’t wait to find out as well! Here they are on flickr.

I think they wore pink & blue to cover both bases :)

What’s it going to be?? Who knows!

Also, this is when we cried :) (below)
