incredible fall season!

Hey everyone! Just wanted to let you know that I will not be taking any more clients for fall sessions due to my high workload right now and need of a personal rest period over the holidays. If you need family pictures and want to wait for the snow, I’ll hopefully begin booking sessions again in January! Thanks so much for all my amazing amazing clients this year!!!

Megan & Tim and I had a wonderful time photographing their engagement photos at her parent’s beautiful home in Fairview, PA. The property was stunning, and these two were so cute and in love, it was so great. They also laughed at all my clutzy antics which helped Check out a few more on flickr!

I was so excited to do Hannah’s senior pictures. I got to head out to North East to shoot these pictures, and it is truly such a gorgeous little place. I love it there! We started out on the main strip and a cool, colorful alley way. It was a perfect night ( a little cold ) but stunningly gorgeous light and skies… and I had the honor of going to a beautiful property full of ponds, grape vines, old apple trees, grass, sunlight… it was amazing. Hannah was a total sport and we had a great time!! Here’s some of my favorites.. I had a really hard time narrowing these down because this girl is soooo cute!!! craig & mandi’s Chautauqua, NY wedding : Chautauqua NY Wedding Photographer

Hey everyone! Here is a beautiful wedding in Chautauqua, NY at and around the Insitute. This was a beautiful place and my first time there! Mandi & Craig are so in love and I was so honored to shoot their wedding… the details and everything were just awesome.

Craig & Mandi decided to see each other before the ceremony so they could have some moments to themselves and exchange little gifts. I got to hide in the closet and pretend I wasn’t there

eric & meghan’s beautiful erie wedding

These two were just awesome. My sister and I shot this wedding together and had a blast. The wedding was at the gorgeous St. Peter’s Cathedral on 10th STreet, and the reception was at the Bayfront Sheraton. Larese floral did the flowers and DJ Barnes rocked the reception as he always does! We had a ton of time in between the ceremony & reception so we got to go Presque Isle and take pictures there. It was so fun and so relaxed. We managed to use all our time – it’s amazing how many things there are to take pictures of You can go here and see a few more or comment on facebook!

I don’t usually like to shoot in full sun, but I’ve been trying to get over it because the colors and vibrancy are just awesome in certain situations!

megan & billy’s brig niagara wedding

From the moment Megan contacted me about shooting her wedding, I knew I had to do it. I was actually booked for the year already, but shooting on a ship was such a nice change from the churches that my weddings are usually at, and I couldn’t wait for the creative possibilities!!! Billy, the groom, is first mate of the Brig Niagara, so as they were describing to me where things would take place in technical ship speak, I was just nodding along It was so cool though. This historic ship is an awesome part of the Erie history!

We were hearing that the weather might crap out on us, but we did our best with and tried to embrace it! They didn’t let it get her down. My gear got pretty wet – any advice on that other photographers?? My awesome friend Danielle second-shot the first part of this wedding with me, and I was so grateful. Her documentary off the cuff moments that she captured really rounded out their set of wedding pictures and gave them special memories to treasure. I think she is going to blog some of her images herself so be on the lookout!

Anyway – this wedding was soooo gorgeous. It had tons of beautiful little details, from the centerpieces which were hand-designed by Megan herself (an art teacher), and each one different, to the awesome vintage programs. The flowers were unique and gorgeous, and the bridesmaid dresses were a royal blue. Megan’s stunning classic gown was only her first piece -she changed into an awesome swing dress for the end of the reception! (Unfortunately I didn’t get many pictures of this part as I was off the clock)

I believe some of these pictures may be featured in the paper this weekend. I’m really excited!! What an honor! Here’s a few favorites, and there are tons more here and on facebook.

nathan’s 1 year pics

Nathan’s mom Rebecca contacted me to get pictures of her little boy doing his thing at 1 year old. I didn’t know what he looked like and I have to say when I saw this little guy I just lost it with giddiness. I got photograph this cutie pie with the most awesome red hair ever, who at 1 year is as big as my 6.5 month old? yayay!!!

Seriously… doing this is my favorite part. I would love to shoot less weddings and focus more on children and families. I would love to photograph your child or your family – contact me for affordable rates and options to get pictures on disc or professional prints a la carte. Thanks!!

Carly & Dan’s wedding was one of my favorites this year. A beautiful dress, gorgeous and happy couple, so in love and so funny, beautiful and unique venues and gorgeous scenery made this day a photographer’s happyness! Carly & Dan were so fun to meet with, and they told me to call him Murphy or Murph, which I did and made everyone laugh I got some of my favorite romantic couple shots and dancing pictures that I’ve ever gotten. Well, I know I’ve been really bad at keeping up to date with my weddings. I’m hoping to get them all blogged for you over these winter months! So without further ado…

On September 4, Rachel & Adam were united in holy marriage! It was a beautiful night and we had a lot of fun My awesome sister, Amy, assisted me shooting, and my amazing and talented friend, Danielle, assisted me with editing. All of us together gave this couple a special set of pictures I hope they will treasure forever. You can see more here.

nicole & matt – erie, pa wedding photography

Nicole and Matt got married in September of 09. Their wedding was so simple yet beautiful and complex somehow. I was so excited to get to shoot it, not only because the bride & groom were beautiful as well as having a smokin wedding party, but because Nicole is one of my sister’s great friends and it’s always an honor to shoot for friends and family! There were some beautiful details from the day and I think Nicole & Matt were really happy. Here are some more pictures if you want to see a more complete set, and following are a few favorites.

I’d never done pictures/group shots across from Union Station at the post office – the light was absolutely perfect to reflect that blue sky and the dresses went with the columns. Very excited about these pics!
