Nicole & Johnny have been together for over 8 years!! They finally made it official with a ceremony and reception at the Masonic Temple in Erie, PA, even including John’s son Ian into the ceremony. It was so precious! He had vows that joined him into this new family. I love seeing families being created at weddings! This wedding was beautiful with gorgeous flowers by Potraz, dresses, and a fun and loving bridal party.

Johnny & Nicole had a “first look” which was very special and cute. John was totally enamored by his beautiful bride!

These colors mixed with the water, sky & sand just made my day

These guys were so crazy about each other We had a hard time getting the laughter to calm down! But my sister Amy caught this awesome shot of the guys being themselves

Last Saturday was a HOT one with a fantastic wedding and beautiful guests and bridal party! I was so honored to get photograph this wedding at the lovely Peek n’ Peak. Heather & Brad have been together for a LONG time… over 10 years! And they now have an awesome son Peyton who stole the show many times during the evening with his great smile and funky dance moves It was DJ’d by John Gallagher who did an amazing job as always. It feels like I’ve been waiting forever and looking forward to Melissa & Jason’s wedding. Feeling like you are friends with your clients and having their ultimate trust is the best feeling. I photographed and had a great time with M&J last year for their engagement photos, and it was so fun to then come and watch them be married. The ceremony was gorgeous and emotional, the bride was beautiful, the weather was perfect, and the love was flowing through the room. How can you beat it? These weddings make me so honored to do what I do.

Here’s some more of my favorites from my family session with some of our best friends and Chloe’s future husband, Jackson Bill, Christie & Jackson had a blast running around Frontier park & Presque Isle last week at my favorite time of year. I wanted to capture the love and fun that this family has. They love the outdoors, they love each other and after trying for three years to have this little guy, I know that Jackson is such a miracle to them every day.

eric & meghan’s beautiful erie wedding

These two were just awesome. My sister and I shot this wedding together and had a blast. The wedding was at the gorgeous St. Peter’s Cathedral on 10th STreet, and the reception was at the Bayfront Sheraton. Larese floral did the flowers and DJ Barnes rocked the reception as he always does! We had a ton of time in between the ceremony & reception so we got to go Presque Isle and take pictures there. It was so fun and so relaxed. We managed to use all our time – it’s amazing how many things there are to take pictures of You can go here and see a few more or comment on facebook!

I don’t usually like to shoot in full sun, but I’ve been trying to get over it because the colors and vibrancy are just awesome in certain situations!

megan & billy’s brig niagara wedding

From the moment Megan contacted me about shooting her wedding, I knew I had to do it. I was actually booked for the year already, but shooting on a ship was such a nice change from the churches that my weddings are usually at, and I couldn’t wait for the creative possibilities!!! Billy, the groom, is first mate of the Brig Niagara, so as they were describing to me where things would take place in technical ship speak, I was just nodding along It was so cool though. This historic ship is an awesome part of the Erie history!

We were hearing that the weather might crap out on us, but we did our best with and tried to embrace it! They didn’t let it get her down. My gear got pretty wet – any advice on that other photographers?? My awesome friend Danielle second-shot the first part of this wedding with me, and I was so grateful. Her documentary off the cuff moments that she captured really rounded out their set of wedding pictures and gave them special memories to treasure. I think she is going to blog some of her images herself so be on the lookout!

Anyway – this wedding was soooo gorgeous. It had tons of beautiful little details, from the centerpieces which were hand-designed by Megan herself (an art teacher), and each one different, to the awesome vintage programs. The flowers were unique and gorgeous, and the bridesmaid dresses were a royal blue. Megan’s stunning classic gown was only her first piece -she changed into an awesome swing dress for the end of the reception! (Unfortunately I didn’t get many pictures of this part as I was off the clock)

I believe some of these pictures may be featured in the paper this weekend. I’m really excited!! What an honor! Here’s a few favorites, and there are tons more here and on facebook.

cherry blossoms… i still miss them, (pt. 2)

Brooke & Freeland are newlywed friends of my good friends Christie & Bill, and I was looking for a model to try the Ryan Brenizier technique before the cherry blossoms were gone, and they so graciously volunteered! We had an awesome time and they turned out so gorgeous! Thanks again, guys.

ashley & jeremy’s engagement session in DC & VA

So it’s only taken me almost a month to get these finished, but I think it was worth the wait. When Ashley found me on my blog and on facebook, she said wistfully – I love your work, but we’re getting married in St. Lucia so we already have ap hotographer plus I”m in DC. I said, “well, my husband’s family lives near their, and I have a friend in Alexandria, so I bet we could work something out.” So after a few months – all of a sudden, there I was and it all came together!

It was thrilling for me to be able to photograph somewhere other than Erie (although don’t get me wrong there is a lot of beautiful stuff here) Anyway the day was perfect, and we just had such a great time. Ashley & Jeremy you are such a sweet couple and I wish you the best blessings and love as you embark on your new life together in August! Thanks for trusting a photographer from Erie to come out and do this for you!

Ashley is a Starbucks-coffee-aholic, so we made a pit stop (i think her 2nd or 3rd of the day) before we headed to DC. And they were troopers, Jeremy didn’t freak out once even though the traffic was horrendous and it took us about an hour to get into DC!

Ok…now it gets good. We found a beautiful spot chock full of Cherry trees in the Tidal Basin by the Jefferson Memorial and I basically died and went to heaven with the beauty and natural lushness, pinkness, and romance!
