Our beautiful daughter Chloe Grace was born March 9, 2010, weighing 8lbs 2.5 oz and 21 inches long at 11:18am. We are totally taken with her. Life has completely turned upside down for this little one! It’s amazing and hard all at the same time!

So bear with me if I don’t get back to inquiries right away or respond to your emails and calls. I promise to try to stay as caught up as possible Here’s a bunch more pictures too.

some personal news

Well, I have some good personal news. Brian and I are 8 weeks pregnant, set to have our first child around March 9! Due to some odd pains I was having today, we called and they had us come in for our first sonogram a week early, and confirmed everything was healthy and on track. It was a beautiful and exciting experience, and I feel like I’m on cloud 9 right now.

Yes, I am back from Italy – and yes, I ate a ton of pasta Italy pics to come at some point next week, I hope. In the meantime though, I wanted to blog a wedding before I get too far behind!

I shot Priscilla & Joe’s wedding June 13, consequently the day after my husband and I’s 5 year anniversary, and the day my grandmother died. So the wedding will probably always be pretty significant for me for those two reasons. It was very beautiful, and I actually really enjoyed shooting on the top floor of the Masonic temple. The way they set up the lights in the background makes for some really interesting shots while dancing, toasting, etc. Just a great backdrop. Here are a few of my favorite pictures, and you can see a few more here.

As many of you know, my husband and I will be heading to the beautiful country of Italy (specifically Rome, Florence & Venice) to celebrate our five year wedding anniversary. So, the blog and most tweeting will be a bit slow for the next week and half! I am so excited, and other than being nervous about the flight, I can’t wait to get there. It’s been so hard to shift focus from Extreme Home Makeover to feeling a bit selfish and letting myself get excited and be ready to enjoy the trip. It’s so hard to believe. We are so blessed, and have been putting aside money for the last 4 months so we could do our best to get into no extra debt on this trip!

Robbers and theives, my house will not be unoccupied, so don’t get any ideas.

In the meantime, I wanted to leave you with this image, a sneak-peak from Priscilla & Joe’s amazing wedding that I shot a few weekends ago. This is by far my favorite image from the whole day. And I did nothing too it, it just was perfect as it was.

Birthdays come and go so fast. March/April are mad with all their celebrations of life among my family and friends. Yesterday we celebrated by going to Olive Garden and my sister making me the most light and fruity birthday cake. So awesome! Some highlights.

Also – Brian has been holding back on me. We’ve been planning a “real” vacation where it’s just the two of us (first time since our Honeymoon where we would go further/somewhere else then Myrtle Beach), but we hadn’t quite decided where. Well, he had decided – and revealed it on my birthday yesterday. We’re going to go to ITALY FOR 10 DAYS!!! What? This is utter crazyness – I mean, we are young and poor – people like us don’t go to Italy! It’s going to take a ton of scrimping and saving, but I know it will be worth it. Brian sees it as a milestone to our life changing this year and a celebration of our 5 years together (FIVE YEARS? wow). We’re going to go to Rome, Florence & Venice. It will be a bit short for that much, but I’m just so grateful anyway. I will not take this for granted. Holy crap!!!! I can’t wait to observe and take pictures of things I’ve only seen in history books and on the internet! LOL.

And this is seriously a little weird cuz — Today I have to work, with one awesome Kristin, then tonight I’m going to hang out with my other two amazing Kristin’s – one for dinner and then one for a little movie, R&R on my bday till Brian gets back from practice. LOL. Get different names people! Anyway — Yay!

Ok so… I had a really nice post that updated you all on what I’ve been up to the last 4 days… and wordpress keeps signing me out and lost it. I’m a bit perturbed. Just know the last 4 days have been fun but crazy and very productive.

At the last minute, a group of exciting wedding vendors got together to talk about our first Erie Wedding Professionals meeting. I am honored to be a part of the group, especially being new to this particular industry. Luckily, what I’m not new to is creating graphics for websites With the help of Heather Mencer and Heather Neckers-Kinal we had a crash session and came up with this concept which I worked on Sunday night for MyErieWedding.com, run by John Gallagher. I hope to help translate it’s modern feel to the rest of the site in the future.

What else is new? I’m winding down to 13 days left at my 5 year art director job. There are such a mix of emotions at this stage in life. I’m sad, but so excited to stop juggling so many things and be able to focus on one thing (well many things, but with one focus) It’s weird how *aware* you are of the time running down.

Can’t wait to post about the important people’s birthdays coming up at the end of the week.

Yesterday (March 16) was my dear friend Kristin H.’s birthday. I didn’t get to see her and I was bummed about that. Kristin and I have been friends for so long, I don’t even remember when we met because we were so little. Kristin is a source of hope, joy, beauty and laughter in my life and I could never picture it without her. She has a worshipping heart and loves Jesus like no one I know. She’s also my Will & Grace chum, the only person who truly can quote almost every line, and no matter which line I say, she knows exactly what episode it’s from. She also alerts me to new music and makes me love Hillsongs big time.

I also love how whenever I talk about any sort of fantasy, science fiction books or movies I love, she doesn’t even try to be into it – she stays true to herself and says “that’s just not me.” lol!

Happy Birthday dear Kristin H.!

Friday is Kristin L.’s bday! Kristin is a newer addition to my life and to the many Kristins, Christy’s, and Christas, and Christies that I know. Kristin is hilarious, and she makes me feel like I am worth it to be a friend to. I don’t think you could find a more loyal person to be your friend or your confidant. Her advice is so sound, I only wish she’d take it more herself We enjoy similar things, and she always helps me with anything I need, even when I don’t ask.

Also she loves cats as much as I do, and is the only friend I can talk to about my cats like they are people who GETS it, and won’t make fun of me for it

I hope I can be even half the friend to her that she is to others. I’m excited to see where her life is going to go and to see the potential for incredible leadership in her that I see right now.

This is something that’s been going on in our house now for the last few months. He does it to the tv, to mirrors, to other surfaces. I’ve been trying to video it for a while and finally he starting going transe-like and nuts in the office so I got it. Enjoy… maybe i’m the only one who finds it amusing (and annoying).

I haven’t blogged for a week or so because 1) I’m busy (i know blah blah) and 2) I’ve been feeling really not myself; I think I have some mental/physical manifestations of the amount of demands being put on me right now, so of course I’m being very non-efficient! I wanted to blog it not to complain but to explain and so I’d have record of when it happened to me again… it’s been a year or two since I’ve experienced it. It’s just a nervous feeling, sometimes manifests in intense stomach pains, sometimes bouts of nausea, sometimes a headache, sometimes extreme fatigue and weakness, sometimes dizziness. One of the hardest parts is everyone immediately asks me if I’m pregnant, and when you’re currently 100% POSITIVE you aren’t due to the time of the month it is, it’s just a teeny bit annoying… I left work early twice last week because I felt so non-functional…Today has been ok . . and I got through Saturday’s wedding due to the help, support and prayer of some awesome friends & fam – it was such a great wedding experience, I was honored to be asked to be a part of it!

Anyway not much longer to keep up this pace, and I’m ready for it to be over….

Other randomness:

I finished the Host, and it was sooooo good. I mean, it’s no Twilight saga, but it is a really really entertaining and page turning piece of fiction, and I really loved it.
It is so cold here right now, but not a lick of snow
I am totally behind on LOST this year, I’m trying to catch up
I’m trying to figure out how to transition out of the job I’ve been in for five years… it’s going to be interesting
I tried taking a multi-vitamin a few weeks ago and I felt terrible from it. This does not bode well for me lol
March is the “MONTH OF BIRTHDAYS!” Kristin Hesch, Kristin Lynch, Lexi, Danielle (30th!), Amy (25th!), Biz, my cousin Michael, my cousin Kaitlyn …. and my 27th isn’t far behind coming up April 2!
Our worship band led by my wonderful husband has an actual out-of-town gig coming up! It’s going to be exciting. Although I just realized that I’ll have to miss the Twilight DVD Borders release party on the 21st.
My sis is growing spiritually like leaps and bounds lately, and I am so honored to be part of her life and watching it all happen. I don’t know where all this will lead, but I can see the hand of God in the situation and I trust He will lead her down the right paths.
I know a few people who’s jobs have either downgraded or laid them off and its a very scary time. All we can do is pray and wait, its going to be a while before the country gets back on its feet. And I think we all need to stop being so scared . . . I pray that I can do the same.

i had a dream

Last night I had the oddest dream…. There was a hurricane storm and it was autumn. It was so bad that all the gutters on our house were ripped off and strewn all over the block. I watched my car get picked up off it’s parking space and re-deposited to another spot behind our shed. Brian’s car had all but disappeared but then I found it buried in a pile of leaves.

Some other things happened but that is what I remember the most clearly. What the heck?
